Blueberry BBQ Grilled Salmon

I hate to say it..honest I do, but Summer is coming to an end pretty soon. It breaks my heart, but its true, and while the weather may be getting cooler and the leaves beginning to change, I am grasping onto summer with both hands and not letting go so easily.

Part of my plan is to get as many seasonal fruits and veggies while I still can! I bought a gorgeous container of blueberries at a local…

Old Fashioned Cheeseburgers and Crispy Zucchini Fries

Well, can you believe it? This weekend is Labor Day already. Where in the world did the summer go?!

The nights here are already getting chilly, sun setting earlier and earlier….can we just  stop time for a while?! I’m so not  ready for winter yet.

Aside from the true meaning of  Labor Day, I always think of it as the last real BBQ of the summer. Of course, we pretty much grill until there’s a…

American Pie

…..and they were singin’ Bye, Bye, Miss American Pie….

Alright, alright, song and dance over. The song gets stuck in my head everytime I look at this beautiful pie.

Red, White, and Blue Sangria

Red, White, and Blue Sangria

I look forward to 4th of July every year. The BBQ’s, the fireworks, the friends and family, but all of this really translates into celebrating the birth of our amazing country. What better way to honor our forefathers and this country than incorporating the colors of our flag into..well, everything!

Including…… sangria

Yep, that’s right! The red, the white, and the blue. This sangria is not only…

I’m Going…..

I’m Going…..

…..on a vacation!!! Yep, you heard it right. A well deserved, week long beach vacation with my wonderful family. Which means one sad thing for you guys; I won’t be posting on here for a week. I know, I know, you’re all so heartbroken.

All joking aside, there is no WiFi at our beach house, so although I will be making delicious summer foods and snapping pictures, I won’t be able to post them….yet!

Soothing Aloe Mint Lotion

Soothing Aloe Mint Lotion

I’d like to start off today’s post by introducing you to a new section on my website. It’s called, “The Kitchen Spa” (the tab is up in the menu bar). I’m really excited about this section, because as much as I like cooking from scratch, I like making my own bath/body/beauty products, too, from things that you will most likely find right in your kitchen!

Your skin is the biggest organ on your…

Grilled Chicken Parmesan

Chicken Parmesan is probably one of my favorite meals in the whole world. It’s crispy, rich, fried chicken with tart marinara and soft, gooey mozzarella, and sharp parmesan cheese, typically served on top of spaghetti. As delicious as it is, it’s quite a heavy meal, especially on a hot summer day. But, I had a hankering for this scrumptious dish, and I had to get creative.

When its a hot and…
